I have (respectfully) been trying to get someone to share with me their formula used when "Listening to Music vs Hearing the Music". (RESPECTFULLY THROUGHOUT THIS POST) I will make "Observations over Opinions" in order to not be critical of the persons taste/style in music. I like KRS one and I like Mozzy too, I like Dead Prez, and I also like Suga Free! I am going to get into the hundreds of Albums that I have memorized, and quite a few after the 3rd trip through. I study the delivery, content, originality, concepts, character, creativity, and the riding of the beat is almost as important as the lyrics themselves. But I also will rock with it if I can "relate to the struggle" , i can "relate to the unity, but maybe not all beliefs or "ideologies" (mental or spiritual). My littlest brother happens to like a few "entertainers" that no matter how many times I hear it, I don't change how I feel about the "entertainment" they are portraying. 90 percent of "early hip-hop" has substance before they were recognized as an "artist". I POPE that big uncle don't get on my line, but growing up, I didn't think "the honorable too short was no hellava spitter. Pimpin and Rappin are 2 different things...lol I like Suga Free because he added "creativity" to the "nothing new under the sun" spill. And I know that you REALly can't rap what your doing, if you are still doing it...lol Free Ar-Ab! I also can immediately can taste "artificial sweetner" in ANYTHING I eat or drink. I have so much more to add, coming soon...
