The FBI searched two locations in New York linked to Project Veritas as part of an investigation into how Ashley Biden's diary was stolen and published online. The New York Times reported that one apartment in New York City and another in Westchester County were searched. In October, Ashley Biden reported multiple personal items stolen in a burglary to federal authorities, including the diary. Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe issued a video statement on Friday confirming the searches. He also claimed that he had received the diary from a 'tipster' who claimed Ashley had 'abandoned the diary in her room'. O'Keefe then denied it was him who posted it online. Project Veritas did not publish the excerpts, but they appeared on a different website. 'It appears the Southern District of New York now has journalists in their sights for the supposed crime of doing their jobs lawfully and honestly,' O'Keefe said.
