On this day in 1984, I remember waking up that morning and my grandmother telling me that my father had passed away. I was 9 years old at the time and I had remembered seeing him just days before in the hospital room at Seaton. I still have the vivid memories of watching WWF Wrestling with my dad, back when the Iron Sheek, George the Animal Steel, Hacksaw Jim Dugan, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, Rowdy Roddy Piper and them.
I wonder if he died thinking that Wrestling was REAL?
That just brought about a very good question, and I will pose this question to bring about a dialogue that I have actually an interest in hearing people's opinions and supporting information.
Question: if a person dies with the beliefs of something that turns out was completely false later on in life....Are they held to the standard of their knowledge, or a pass?
Or does one believe that it's like the "Dope Game" when it first came out... There came a time when you were conscious about what you were doing to your people and you still did it for the money.? I mean in a sense that you at one point in life are given the truth and you still choose the other?
I'm just trying to figure out what happened to them?????
