Here is a throwback photo that I wanted to share and a little history about it. This photo I came across because my mother's friend has an original photo of Martin Luther King Jr. that she will not let me take off of her wall, so I did the same things that society does and searched for the exact photo online since I know that it wasn't in a book.
In the midst of my searches, I found some photos of the brother that I had never seen before and was blown away. I have always respected the good brothers' work and message, and to see him in a positive light and also in settings other than the church behind the pulpit doing speeches, and marching.
What I am doing with OUR platform is bringing back the essense of showing US as a community in a better light that I have been seeing from some of the other platforms.
Dont get me wrong... I am no Holier than thou, and I do sometimes entertain myself with activities that are a little less Godly than others. From my roots and through my studies I am consistantly growing and cultivating my talents to better serve the community as a whole.
I don't care about "likes" on Facebook or the "other" platforms, just share what WE as a community are doing over here. I don't need financial donations, but books, knowledge, information, news, thoughts, feelings (unless you are the first mother of my children... lol ), interview ideas, topic requests, forum topics, and other ideas are all welcome.

That is what my heart told me that that photo represented. Every single person next to him knew what it meant for their lives and what it meant when you REALly "LIKED" a person. You physically showed your support on the front line without checking your page to see if somebody "liked" or shared your viewpoints or where you were eating at. And I bet you "used" to NOT want the police to know what it was that you were doing because you were actually standing up for yourself and your people. POPEfully for a few of US, that actually sinks in... Don't worry... We are here as long they don't shut off the signal. This is OUR platform for us, and I have my OWN money so I am not interested in using my community for experiments or profits.
